Rhea is the most recently discovered "answer" to the longest. best spey hackle, and Intruder flies. These great feathers are especially being utilized on the magnum-sized tubes, flies and shanks. These feathers average 16"-18" and the largest feathers have fibers 3"-5" long. The tips of most feathers can be wrapped. The long fibers can be pealed from the stem and wrapped or cut off the stem and then spun in a dubbing loop. The movement of each fiber in the water is tremendous.
